This was a fun project. I went to a local thrift store and bought different forks, knives and spoons. I also bought old frames from there too-to make this awesomeness!
What you will need:
Picture frames
Silverware
Spray paint
Glue
_______________
I layed out the silverware & spray painted it white. I used a primer for metal to make sure the paint would ahere properly, then I spray painted them with a white gloss paint.
(You could play around with painting them any color really, use your imagination)
I took apart the frames, and used the normal backings and spray painted them a dark grey.
I then painted the frames a gloss white. I used paint for plastic because the frames were cheap plastic and this worked best on them.
After they were sprayed with several coats of paint, and they all had dried....
I placed the silverware on the grey backings to decided how I wanted them placed first.
Then I used the glue on the silverware only on the parts that touch the surface of the backing.
(I used my favorite glue E-6000 but you must give it time to dry completely)
And placed them back on the backings carefully.
Once dried completely, I put the frames back on.
Now you can put them up on your kitchen or dining room walls.
Have fun!
